The Bank of Albania announces that business savings in banks have increased their specific weight in the last year compared to a year ago, when they accounted for about 15.9% of the total.

According to the BoA, from March 2020 (period that coincided with the onset of the pandemic) until the end of last year, business deposits increased by ALL 27 billion or approximately 14%.

The BoA estimates that the sustenance of business liquidity has had an impact, driven by the deferment of loan repayment by about six months amid the pandemic situation with the financial impact of this support on the enterprise segment reaching ALL 23.3 billion, or about 188 million euros.
