TIRANA, Oct 16 /ATA/ The Vienna Institute (WIIW) predicts that economic growth in Albania will be at 4% in 2024, while for the coming year, forecasts indicate a growth of 3.8%.

In the autumn report published today, WIIW states that vigilance is still required, as the demand for loans for real estate is booming.

“Economic growth is expected to reach 4% in 2024. Inflation remains low and stable. However, vigilance is required, as the demand for loans for real estate is booming,” the report states.

According to the Vienna Institute, the overvaluation of the currency has harmed the export of goods.

Meanwhile, according to the report, tourism growth continues, but this will not prevent further expansion of the current account deficit.

At the same time, the report emphasizes that inflows of foreign direct investment (FDI) will remain strong, with the energy and manufacturing sectors benefiting the most.
