“This is the largest foreign investment in the country’s history, which will turn Durrës into an attractive Mediterranean tourist gateway, as well as will give Albania a major boost to be top tourist attraction in the Balkans,” Rama said.

“Let’s be clear. The current view in the port of Durrës resembles that of the Middle Ages, where chrome is traded in the heart of the city, surface rust flourish and old vessels rot.There are thousands of square meters of thorns,” premier Rama said.

The Prime Minister Rama emphasized that this port is an environmental scandal, an urban blight at the center of gravity of Albania’s largest tourist hub, Durrës.

“Not only in the capacity of the Prime Minister of Albania, but also that of the lawmaker, I am counting down the hours until the agreement on the largest foreign investment in the country’s history be approved,” he concluded. //a.i
