From January to December of the past year, a total of 792,023 passengers were processed.

Of this total, 389,543 passengers arrived at the port, while 402,480 departed for various destinations.

According to the Port Authority of Durrës, passenger traffic saw a significant increase during the summer tourist season, especially on international routes to Italy.

The Port Authority of Durres reports to ATA that 120 810 passengers have travelled from / to the port of Durres during the first half of August.

“Ferries of Durres-Bari/Ancona line carried 73 701 passengers at the entrance and 47 109 passengers were registered on exit from our country towards the Italian coast,” DPA said.

The increase is also reflected in the number of vehicles, trailers and trucks processed at the Ferry Terminal.

“Period from 1 to 15 August 2024 saw 32,797 vehicles and 3,950 trucks and trailers,” DPA said.

All state and private entities operating at the largest port in the country have been engaged in the operations of the Ferry Terminal at the peak of tourist season.

Referring to DPA data, 54,219 passengers were registered at the entrance and 31,849 at the exit, recording a difference of 7,335 more passengers compared to the previous year.

This upward trend is also reflected in the figures of entry and exit of vehicles, with 26,362 vehicles processed at the Ferry Terminal, recording an increase of 3,093 vehicles, as compared to 23,269 vehicles registered in the first 10 days of the previous year.
