Rama: New market in Belsh, a guarantee for sale of Dumre products

TIRANA, June 15/ATA/ Farmers in Belsh already have the new market, where they can sell their products.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared on social media images from this market which creates necessary spaces for farmers and consumers.

Rama emphasized that, “The new market in Belsh is ready for farmers”.

“The supporting policies of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development through the creation of local interaction groups will give a boost to the development of agri-business by guaranteeing the sale of products offered by the area of Dumre”, stressed Rama.

The market will be an example and a meeting point of farmers, processors and traders with the consumer.

Within the market, the movement will be pedestrian only, aiming to create a market with a high level of social interaction, free from cars as well as the maximum reduction of the surfaces occupied by infrastructure elements, emphasizing its integration with the surrounding nature.

The market is located along the Belsh-Berat national road, at a distance of 3 km from the town of Belsh. It is located near two important natural elements such as the ‘Round Lake’ and the ‘Merhoja Lake’. /k.s/p.s./

TIRANA, June 2/ATA/ The area of Dumre is increasingly oriented towards sustainable tourism that promotes local resources while simultaneously respecting fragile environmental balances.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today on social media views from “Dumrea Ecopark” in Belsh, a hotel structure with 9 elegant lodges in wood and glass overlooking Lake Marina, one of the many lakes in this picturesque region of Central Albania.

“Dumrea Ecopark” is one of the newest and most important tourist spots for the Dumrea area, newly built with the support of the Albanian Development Fund.

Investments in public and private works in the hotel sector, restaurants or guesthouses, have transformed Belsh into one of the most important agro-tourism destinations in Albania./m.m/p.s./

After years in emigration, family from Dumre invests in olive oil factory

TIRANA, October 9/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama said today that through government support programs, Albanian farmers are cultivating more and more agricultural crops every year, setting up factories for their processing.

In a post on social media, Rama shared images of a factory for the production of olive oil built by an emigrant who returned home from Greece.

“After many years of emigration to Greece, Pëllumb Jolla’s family from Dumre decided to return to their homeland and invest in opening a factory for the production of olive oil, a very widespread culture in the area of Dumre. The factory is supplied by a wide network of farmers ensuring the proper certification, standard, quality and packaging to compete in the domestic and foreign markets,” he said.

With a total fund of 4.9 billion ALL from the Albanian government’s budget, the National Agricultural Support Scheme this year is the largest in direct funding for applicant farmers./p.s./
