During the presentation of the SPAK’s annual activity report for 2023 in parliament, Dumani stated that, “SPAK has investigated a total of 863 materials and concluded not to initiate criminal proceedings for 113 materials. 750 criminal proceedings were investigated, of which 451 proceedings were closed. A total of 299 new proceedings were registered.

Regarding the requests for trial, Dumani said that, “it turns out that 53 requests for trial with 296 defendants have been sent to the court. 11 requests for trial with 109 defendants for organized crime and 38 requests for trial with 142 defendants for criminal offenses of corruption. Request for dismissal was submitted for 29 criminal proceedings”.

The chief prosecutor of SPAK added that, “87 criminal proceedings have been transferred and investigations has been suspended for 24 criminal proceedings”.

The head of SPAK emphasized that “assets with a total value of around 41 million euros have been seized and confiscated”.
