Prime Minister Edi Rama shared Thursday on his social media account highlights from the works at this site, which he described as one of the most complicated infrastructural investments.

Rama expressed his conviction that this investment will transform this area into an important pole for the development of the economy and tourism throughout Shkodra.

The construction of the Dukagjini road, in the Prekal-Kir segment, 17 km long, will ease the circulation of vehicles not only for the residents of the area, but also for the many tourists who will explore Dukagjini, and other beauties of the north of Albania .

The project designed by the Albanian Development Fund, which is financed by the government through a fund of 200,805,067 ALL, aims to ensure protection against landslides and build works of art along this 17 km long segment.

The project consists in the layout, profiling of the road as well as the installation of culverts and retaining walls from the village of Prekal, to the entrance of the village of Lotaj, as well as the restoration of the existing works of art and their extension where necessary.

The road will be 5 meters wide, maintaining the axis of the existing road.
