Currently, 11 construction sites have been opened, while more projects on the construction of other facilities have been approved.

The Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama accompanied by the Minister of State for Reconstruction Arben Ahmetaj and the mayor Emirjana Sako  inspected today the work progress on the buildings damaged by the earthquake of November 26, 2019 in Durrës.

In his remarks, the Prime Minister Rama underlined that, the projects have already been drafted and the work  remained is on the right track to be realized as soon as possible.

“The important thing is that, these projects have been completed, as the most difficult and problematic thing. Now, following their completion, we must be 100% sure of the interventions and 100% efficient related to their realization,” the premier Rama said.

For his part, the Minister of State for Reconstruction Arben Ahmetaj said that, the procedures are underway for other lots within the Reconstruction Program.

“At the tomorrow’s meeting of the Council of Ministers, we will review the project on the construction of two more lots in Durrës; two connecting roads of Spitalla, meanwhile the project on the first lot worth 6 million dollars has started to be implemented along with Abu-Dabi, as well as the large building at “Ramadan Veliu” street, due to structural failure of the building.

“This year’s fund allocated in the state budget is estimated at $ 280 million. While, next year  it will range between 150 million and 180 million dollars, to support the reconstruction program through internal funds,” Ahmetaj added. //a.i/
