Following the decision of the Electoral College, the representatives of the Democratic Party, Ivi Kaso, and of the SMI, Altin Kaziaj, stressed that they do not accept the decision.

“The violations we have set out in our request for election invalidity are related to multiple facets and one thing is for sure, all those responsible for the election massacre will be bought to justice by the Albanian citizens and law-enforcement agencies and each one of them will be held accountable for their actions and inactions in accordance with the law regarding the preparation of April 25 election process as well as its execution,” said Kaso.

While Kaziaj said that, “No way will the SMI and the opposition accept a decision delivered for these reasons. There is no way we can accept the fact that the Electoral College did not take into account the procedural requests by the DP and SMI. There is no way we can accept a decision that is delivered within such a short time frame. This is nonsense. The fact is that the decisions on election validity are going with the flow of CSC. ”
