Basha said during a televised interview that all legal avenues will be exhausted for the issue of the seal, citing the HJC and SPAK, but also the Strasbourg Court.
“We don’t want to turn the public debate, as Rama and Berisha wish, into a debate about the seal and the logo. For this reason, the Democratic Party under my leadership has outlined an alternative program and since the unveiling of the program, the old tango has ratcheted up to wipe it from television programs and public debate”, said Basha.
“They want to continue stealing from Albanians, causing scandals of global proportions and escaping justice. What unites us are the concerns of the Albanians, their hopes for a better Albania. Albania deserves more. We as an alternative have been, are and will be there. Therefore, the details of logos, seals, etc., are irrelevant,” said Basha.
He added that the legal battle will continue.
“We will follow through with the legal battle in order for injustice not to become the norm. We will appeal it to the High Court. Yet again, we will not bombard Albanians with seals and logos. In any case, our alternative will be running in the elections”, said Basha.
“The law is clear. The High Court was clear. The case had to be judged on its merits. All of a sudden, the Court of Appeal upholds Zhukri’s decision, which in short is like someone coming to your house and tells you that this is not your house, but someone else’s, and does not even give you the opportunity to complain in court. In this sense, the decision is scandalous,” said Basha.
“We are also looking at the possibility of other steps in relation to HJC and SPAK, as this decision is the product of the deal between Rama and Berisha”, continued Basha.
