Referring to the case of KAS member Ilirjan Rusmali, who also serves as the legal advisor to the President of the Republic, Bardhi clarified that the involvement of the President’s office in the election administration process implies a serious breach of the principle of neutrality and the representation of the unity of the people by the institution of the President.

Bardhi criticized the President’s office for interfering in the election process, saying it compromises the President’s neutrality and turns the institution into a party endorsing a flawed election, damaging the President’s role as a unifying and impartial head of state.

The Electoral College (KAS) continues to review the appeal requests from the coalition “DP-Magnificent Albania” regarding the results of the parliamentary elections held on May 11. /j.p/sm/
