TIRANA, May  14 /ATA/ The head of the DP’s Euro-Atlantic Council, Preç Zogaj, has condemned the infringement of equality in the elections, hit out at the deliberate postponement of funds disbursement for the electoral campaign of the Democratic Party, which has resulted in this party waging campaign through to the end without the funding stipulated in the law, in stark contrast to the very costly publicity campaigns, with suspicious funding, of the Socialist Party and the coalition “Together We win.”

In a media statement, Zogaj expressed deep concern about “cases of vote buying, which in the remaining days of the campaign would risk turning the elections from a celebration into a shameful farce.”

“We strongly appreciate and support the electoral campaign of the Democratic Party in which its leaders from the grassroots to the center with Enkelejd Alibeaj at the helm, its candidates with Roland Bejko in Tirana as their representative voice, its members and supporters throughout the country, are clearly and resolutely unfolding the alternative of an opposition based on Western and national values ​​of the center-right and an open and reformed Democratic Party looking to the future,” he said.
