TIRANA, Jan 4 /ATA/ The Democratic Party stated on Tuesday that “it will never be open to drugs traffickers rallying behind Sali Berisha in the attack he is orchestrating against the Democratic Party to put his plight above the future of all Democrats.”

“Everyone is utterly clear that his language and acts are intended to incite violence, as the only option left to them. Sali Berisha may be associated with a drug trafficker designated as “non grata” in the United Kingdom, part of the criminal syndicate B9. He can invite them to his home, his family can even do real estate business with them as an accomplice to a money laundering scheme, and they can share dividends from gambling businesses, but never will they do business at the expense of Democrats. “Never ever,” it is said in a statement of DP.

The statement reads that “the vast majority of members of the DP Presidency, National Council and 5004 delegates of the National Assembly, on December 18, chose the future, chose to serve the interests of the Democrats, chose to serve only the interests of Albania.”

We are proud to be the first political party in Albania and the region to join the US global initiative to exclude from the decision-making in party institutions the persons designated “non grata” for corruption, abuse of power or involvement in organized crime, same sources say.

“The Democratic Party headquarters has been and will always be open to Democrats who have stepped up to offer their contribution, but off limits to those who have held the Democratic Party hostage all these years in the hope that they can use it to hide, protect or arrange their affairs, “the statement of DP says. /m.m//a.a/sm/
