The process will last for 6 months and consists of identification of the areas and the disinsection process.

“We have come with all the relevant structures to start the national program dedicated to reducing the density of mosquitoes in the territories where there are holiday-makers, especially in Shkodra, which I am sure will be a tourist destination this year not only for local holiday0makers, but also for the foreigners”, said Koçiu.

This is a process that starts from May and continues until September-October. There will be continuous monitoring will be carried out every two to three weeks, depending on the situation.

“From Shkodra, we will go to Lezha; we will go down to Durrës, Fier, we will go to Vlora. So, over 300 hectares, where there are lagoons, ponds, where there are of course canals or areas that have the presence of mosquitoes. All to ensure a smooth tourist season”, underlined Koçiu.
