Attending the event was Minister of Education Mirela Kumbaro and Deputy Mayor of Tirana Anuela Ristani.

Kumbaro praised the School of Directors as a national standard comparable to the best European models.

“It is mandatory that every candidate who competes to be a school headmaster must have a school certificate. The school of directors is today a national standard comparable to the best European models”, emphasized Kumbaro.

Minister Kumbaro also highlighted Albania’s positive results in the TALIS testing, conducted with over 4,500 teachers in over 300 schools, emphasizing that with the 2026 budget for education, teacher training will continue, especially in ICT subjects.

Minister of the Interior Ervin Hoxha said that today we pass on experience to a new generation of officers with integrity.

“There are 12 new police leaders who emerged from the competition. They represent a new generation of officers who today carry the burden of leading the police in the 12 police directorates in the regions”- said Hoxha.

While making the presentation, the minister underlined that the leaders who take office today were selected for their competence and ability, but also for their integrity.

Focusing on the duties of the new police leaders in the regions, Minister Hoxha said that there will be a technological leap forward.

“On the other hand, the modernization of police services requires a further push. The State Police 2030 must be a police equipped with the necessary technological and digital intelligence systems and it is unacceptable that the special funds made available by the government for this major ambition are not used, simply because of incompetence of the human resources not fit for this mission” – said Hoxha.

According to Hoxha, the new leaders should pay a very special attention to innovative projects, to control the territory, supervise traffic, prevent and attack criminality.

“We need an unwavering will for self-cleaning from the ranks of the state police,” the minister underlined further.

At the end of his speech, the minister asked the new police leaders to have a more proactive approach to citizens’ complaints, but also concerns and problems raised by the media, treating them seriously and impartially. /p.s./

“The Municipality has a staff of 11 thousand people. It organizes about 1 thousand competitions for municipal works according to certain procedures. So, there can be problems”, said Veliaj.
