“For better interconnection between the two countries and in order to further push tourism development, we both agreed that time is high to establish a direct flight route between Tirana and Zagreb, or interconnection between the ports in the two countries,” Begaj said at joint press conference with Croatian President Zoran Milanović.

President Begaj also said that he and his Croatian counterpart shared their conviction that despite the excellent bilateral ties and political relations and upward trend in economic and trade relations, there is still much more room for stronger economic cooperation between the two countries.”

Begaj said that Albania welcomes Croatian investment projects on energy and tourism in particular, given Croatia’s expertise in this area, as well as in infrastructure, agriculture and other areas of mutual interest.
