TIRANA, Aug 27 /ATA/ Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, shared on Tuesday some of the highlights of the Ambassadors Conference “Diplo 2024”, adding that today’s discussion will revolve around geopolitics in the region and strengthening of diplomacy in view of tourism, economy and culture.

On 26-28 August 2024, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs organized the Conference of Ambassadors “Tirana Diplo 2024” that was attended by ambassadors and heads of consular posts, Albanian and foreign state personalities.

The Ambassadors ‘Conference is an important meeting of the Albanian Foreign Service, which provides an opportunity to present priorities that will orient the work of diplomatic missions and consular posts of the Republic of Albania in the world.

The Ambassadors’ Conference which makes its comeback after an eight- year hiatus, in its course of three days, will delve into the challenges and opportunities of Albanian diplomacy, as well as Albania’s strategies on security, geopolitics of the region, economy, tourism, culture, and the top priority, integration into the European Union.

The Chief Diplomat Igli Hasani stressed that this conference comes at a crucial moment – not only because of the increasingly important commitments of Albanian diplomacy – but also as we take concrete steps for an ever more modern and dignified foreign service, including a new Law on Foreign Service and the re-establishment of the Diplomatic Academy.

Minister Hasani thanked Prime Minister Edi Rama for his commitment to our foreign policy, as well as the guest of honor at the opening session of the Conference, his Slovenian counterpart Tanja Fajon, a friend of our country and a proponent of the European integration of Albania and the region.
