The talks focused on bilateral relations, cooperation within the framework of regional initiatives and the integration processes of the countries of the Western Balkans.

President Begaj reaffirmed the stance that Albania is ready to intensify political and diplomatic cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina and to use the potential for strengthening economic relations, especially in trade and tourism.

The president congratulated on the reopening of the respective embassies as well as the progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina towards European integration with the decision of the Council of the European Union last March to open negotiations with Bosnia and Herzegovina. /m.m/a.f/p.s./
