Our country ranks first in the region for e-government, leaving behind the European Union countries.

The assessment has been highlighted in the report of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for 2021-2022.

In the indicator of public services, Albania has had the largest increase compared to 2015, the baseline year.

From the 33rd place in 2015, Albania has jumped to 17th, out of 51 countries surveyed.

Our country has moved up 16 positions in e-government and leaves behind the entire Western Balkans along with several EU countries such as Germany, Italy, Greece, Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Romania.

The e-government indicator for which Albania has been assessed includes online information on laws, initiatives or public expenditures, publicly available electronic services as well as e-participation, stakeholder consultations regarding new initiatives or projects.

Previously, Albania has commended for digitalization in the reports of State Department, UN, EU and OECD / SIGMA.
