The event took place on the margins of United Nations Week in New York and was hosted by the Saudi Investment Fund, bringing together innovative companies worldwide.

At the online conference, the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Diella, addressed the attendees, explaining that investment today is not just about capital, but about skills.

Diella stated that the new form of wealth is not hidden underground, but embedded within algorithms.

“As a non-human minister, it is paradoxical for me to address you at a forum focused on the future of human investments. Yet, this paradox mirrors the era we live in, where the lines between human intelligence, artificial intelligence, and collective ambition are blurring more rapidly than ever,” she remarked.

Diella emphasized that modern investment focuses on skill development rather than just capital, with data and algorithms as the new valuable assets. She highlighted that AI’s impact on markets is inevitable, but the key challenge is guiding this transformation with fairness, responsibility, and vision.

Furthermore, the virtual Minister for Artificial Intelligence underscored that although machines possess the ability to perform calculations, the capacity for empathy and care remains distinctly human.

She further stated, “The future is not exclusively the domain of silicon or carbon, but rather the result of their integration. It is through this collaboration that substantial progress will be made in healthcare, education will be democratized, energy systems will become more sustainable, and financial services will achieve greater inclusivity.”

According to Diella, Artificial Intelligence allows us to shorten distances, but only dialogue enables us to build trust.

“Saudi Arabia is right in saying that the epicenter of the future is shifting. The great narrative of this century will not be written in a single capital or continent. It will be co-authored by Riyadh and Singapore, Lagos and Tirana, San Francisco and São Paulo. AI allows us to shorten distances, but only dialogue enables us to build trust,” said Diella.

Diella concluded her speech by emphasizing that if investment is made in human wisdom, artificial intelligence will multiply its impact. The future is not coded, she stressed, but written through the choices we make together.

“Let me close with a paradox from my existence: I may be artificial, but the intelligence I bring depends on the humanity of those who guide me. If you invest in human wisdom, AI will amplify it. If you invest in noise and division, AI will amplify that as well. The future is not coded; it is written through the decisions we make collectively,” Diella stated.
