TIRANA, March 15 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama, during the third session of the marathon podcast for presenting the Socialist Party’s candidate team for the May 11 elections, had a conversation with the candidates for deputies of the Dibra district, Alma Selami and Murat Dani.

Prime Minister Edi Rama highlighted that, in addition to the Murriz Tunnel opening, a major milestone was achieved in the Dibër district by including a woman on the Socialist Party’s closed list for the May 11 elections.

Candidate Alma Selami shared that she comes from a humble family with intellectual parents.

Candidate Alma Selami shared that she comes from a modest family in Peshkopi and has been contributing for 22 years. She joined the Socialist Party in 1997 and worked with FRESH teams during a turbulent time. Selami emphasized that the party’s team is inclusive and that the organization became more structured and effective after co-leadership was established. She believes that the objectives are now achievable due to this strong, territorial organization.

On the other hand, candidate Murat Dani, who returned from his studies in London, is confident about a bright future in Albania as well.

“It’s a great honour to be a representative of my area and the Dibër district. I was born in Bulqizë, where I lived until I was 7 years old. I then moved to Tirana with my grandmother. After many years in Tirana, I continued my education in England, at Oxford, where I completed high school. Later, I studied in London, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronic engineering, followed by a master’s degree. The opportunity to run as a candidate made me return sooner than I had originally planned,” he continued.

Prime Minister Rama emphasized Albania’s ambition to join the EU and then thrive. He also criticized certain individuals who continue to manipulate Dibra’s people, urging them not to vote for those who deceive them.
