Dhamo is the director who made the first Albanian feature film, “Tana”, which was also his first film in 1958.

Dhamo has given valuable help in training of young cinematography students, by organizing several professional courses. In 1979, he was awarded the title “Merited Artist” and in 1987 he was honored with the title “People’s Artist”. At the 11th Albanian Film Festival 2000, he was honored with the career award./p.s./
