The new aircraft will join the Wizz Air fleet based at Tirana International Airport (TIA), enabling the launch of direct flights from TIA to Liverpool (UK), Madrid (Spain), Billund (Denmark) and Oslo Sandefjord Torp (Norway), as well as increasing the frequencies of existing airline destinations: Ancona, Verona, Luton, Brussels, Paris, Berlin, Hamburg, Memingem.

According to TIA, Wizz Air fleet with 6 aircraft and 4 additional destinations starting from December 2021 will continue to operate at low fares connecting Albania with the rest of Europe. Wizz Air already connects Tirana with 34 European destinations.

“The deployment of the 6th Wizz Air aircraft at Tirana International Airport and the announcement by TIA of the launch of four new destinations throughout Europe, for us means trust, security and good service provided by the airport to Wizz Air, and not only. We have big plans for this airport in terms of layout, new services and new airlines. Albanians deserve freedom of movement and a wide range of options to travel.
