Authorities say Serbia is trying to “export its internal crisis” to Kosovo ahead of a rally planned by President Aleksandar Vučić in Belgrade next week.

Kosovo’s Security Council accused Serbia of pressuring local Serbs to take part in Vučić’s rally.

Security concerns remain high, especially in northern Kosovo, where a grenade was thrown at the post office in Zvečan on April 1, causing material damage. Four Serb citizens were arrested over the weekend in Gjakova, including a Serbian police lieutenant and a military captain.

Security concerns remain high, especially in northern Kosovo, where a grenade was thrown at the post office in Zvečan on April 1, causing material damage. Four Serb citizens were arrested over the weekend in Gjakova, including a Serbian police lieutenant and a military captain.

The Council also linked these efforts to the role of Lista Srpska, Kosovo’s main Serb party, and Milan Radoičić, its former deputy leader, who claimed responsibility for last year’s armed attack in Banjska that killed a Kosovar police officer.

Kosovo authorities state that Serbia has pressured non-majority MPs to block the formation of new institutions and incited ethnic and political tensions through threats and blackmail.
