Minister Denaj announced that the meetings revolved around the upcoming plans, such as the involvement of all stakeholders in the value chain and gender equality in the fields of rural development.

The minister pointed out that the development of joint programs with FAO will focus on the support of rural enterprises run by women in agribusiness, as well as the drafting of policies for the sustainable development of agriculture.

“In the process of developing joint programs with FAO, priority be given to women’s entrepreneurship in agribusiness and the drafting of policies aimed at strengthening human capacities, for a sustainable future of Albanian agriculture,” Denaj said.
Founded in 1945 and headquartered in the Italian capital, Rome, FAO is a specialized UN agency that leads cooperation in food and agriculture.

This organization plays a vital role in global food and agricultural policy exchanges, setting standards, collecting information and statistics and other areas.
