TIRANA, July  26  /ATA/ / From July 25 to 27, Senator Tommaso Nannicini, chairman of the Parliamentary Commission for the control of the activities of institutions that manage mandatory forms of social security and social assistance, will be visiting Tirana. He will head the delegation including representatives of the Ministry of Labor and the National Institute of Social Insurance, the Italian embassy in Tirana announced today.

The delegation will visit Tirana to negotiate with the Albanian side the agreement on the recognition of the pension and social security systems between Italy and Albania, with the aim of achieving the unification of social contributions for those citizens who have worked in both countries.

During the visit, the delegation will hold meetings with the Deputy Minister of Finance, Olta Manjani, as well as with technical experts in the field of legislation and agreements on social security.

The results achieved during the first meeting as part of EU accession talks will be presented at the press conference by the Italian ambassador, Fabrizio Bucci, Senator Tommaso Nannicini and Geri Ballo, initiator of the petition “Pension is a right. We support the Italy-Albania agreement”. /j.p/sm/
