During a meeting with the battalion’s personnel, Vengu conveyed his appreciation for their contributions, calling them “a valuable asset to the area and a crucial component of community security.

Commenting on the new operational center, Vengu highlighted that it will be used for the training and development of personnel and will enhance support capabilities for local civil emergencies.

The minister stated that the new unit in Mollzë will offer significantly improved conditions along with complete operational functionality.

Vengu reassured the personnel that the government will maintain its support for the Armed Forces, including funding, salaries, and family benefits.

“The new military statute law reinforces your professional status and offers you increased security. Additionally, we will make it possible for you to take part in missions, as I understand this has been a longstanding request of yours,” Minister Vengu stated.

Vengu emphasized that some of the battalion’s troops have been trained in Germany.

“Meanwhile, the next rotation in 2026 will see you involved in all missions within NATO and European Union areas of interest. I am very grateful for what you do, for your commitment, and for the support you provide to the Burrel community,” Vengu said.
