TIRANA, April 11 /ATA/-By Maela Marini/- Prime Minister Edi Rama voiced confidence that his Socialist Party will win landslide victory in Albania’s May 11 parliamentary elections as he addressed an event with Socialist women in Tirana on Friday.

The government head stated that the ruling Socialists will deliver the worst-ever defeat to the main opposition Democratic Party (DP).

“Only a magic would save the opposition from the defeat in May 11 and the opposition will suffer the worst-ever defeat since 1997,” PM Rama stated.

PM Rama urged voters to back his Socialist Party in May 11 general elections to press ahead with Albania’s European Union accession bid, saying the Socialists are the only and viable choice to continue the country’s accession negotiations.

“Those who hear this appeal will not become members of the PS. Let them keep their party cards, but drain the ‘swamp’ to save the party. On May 11, Albania must send a message: ‘We, the Albanian people, regardless of party affiliation, want Albania in the united European family as soon as possible,’” Rama said.

With a goal from Kochorashvili at 71st minute of the second half after almost dominating possession and using their width to stretch Albania’s defence, adding three more points in Nations League.

Albania vs Georgia game takes place in Group 1 of League B, the second division of the Nations League, with both teams seeking a place in League A. The guests were first who started pressing and dangerously take the initiative in the beginning of the game by shooting from distance.

Sylvinho’s team found it almost impossible to penetrate the opposing defense. The match was decided by a super goal scored by Kochorashvili in the 71st minute. The Georgian defender, helped by a deflection, managed to score in Strakosha’s goal, in what was the only goal of the game.

TIRANA, April 28 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today during the meeting of the victory of the Parliamentary elections that he has the obligation to extend a hand of sincere, concrete, democratic cooperation, without any prejudice or restrictions to the Democratic Party.

Prime Minister Rama spoke today from “Skënderbej” square about cooperation with the opposition, while asking Basha to accept the defeat.

“My sincere message to Lulzim Basha is this: Accept the loss with dignity and with the conviction that you could not do what you wanted, but did everything you could,” said Rama.

Rama added that, “I want to be the prime minister of all Albanians, not just those who gave me the third term”.

“Not only the Socialists, but also the Democrats, not only those who voted, but also those who did not vote at all. I want Albania to climb to the top where God loved her, when God embroidered her with so much care, like a lady with fascinating grace”, said Rama.

Prime Minister Rama said that Basha and the Democratic Party made the best campaign in the history of their losses./j.p/r.e/p.s./
