The newly appointed Energy Commissioner for the EU, Dan Jorgensen, started his public agenda with the annual Ministerial of the Energy Community, highlighting the EU’s focus not only on energy but, above all, on the member countries of the community, eight of which have taken the first steps towards EU membership through various stages of the process. During the ministerial, with the participation of ministers chairing all delegations, as well as the new Commissioner, we discussed the progress made in 2024 and took important decisions regarding the implementation of the electricity package, the decarbonization roadmap, as well as the unification and integration of energy markets with the EU,” she said.
