Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today on social media the case of little Anauri, born loss than 7 months old, who has already passed the risk for his life and today enjoys full health together with his mother Nevada. It was thanks to the exemplary care of Dr. Sosiana Baja and the Emergency and Intensive Therapy staff at the “Koço Gliozheni” Maternity Hospital.

Nevada Duraj, the child’s mother, said that she had little hope when she delivered the baby, less than 7 months old, no hope of living and a weight of 800 grams.

While Dr. Sosiana Baja explained that, “When the mother came to the maternity ward, she was evaluated by the team of doctors and it was seen that she was a mother who had hypertension which led to the termination of the birth. In some way, the life of the mother and the baby was also endangered, but fortunately everything went well”.

“The baby has been put on mechanical ventilation for a long time, approximately 45 days, and has required constant assistance from us. Currently, as we speak, the baby is 3 months old and enjoys full health, it weighs 1870 grams and today he will return home together with his mother in good health”, said Dr. Baja. /m.m/p.s./
