In her remarks Adamová noted that Albania and Czech Republic are steadily boosting trade and economic ties, as well as cooperation on tourism.

“I am visiting Albania for the first time and I’ve wished to visit your beautiful country since I was elected to the post of the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies. I welcome the opportunity to discuss issues of European security together. Czech Republic and Albania have strong relations. We are proud of our trade relations. Tourism is thriving in our bilateral relations, with over 100 000 Czechs visiting Albania each year. We will work to further boost cooperation, which is also closely related to Albania’s EU accession goals,” Adamová said.

Speaker of Czech Parliament also underlined that Albania is a valuable and reliable NATO partner.

She affirmed Czech Republic’s steadfast support for the European integration of Albania and other Western Balkan countries.
