Defence Minister stated that “Albania’s rise to 15th place globally in the National Cyber Security Index (NCSI) further motivates us to strengthen capacities and support in the areas of information security, infrastructure, and cyber defense.”

Vengu described the Cyber and Communications Command as a central pillar of the Defense 2030 strategy, emphasizing that “the capacity-building plan was detailed to ensure innovation becomes embedded in the DNA of every modernization investment across the full spectrum of military and civil activities of the Armed Forces.”

Albania was ranked 15th worldwide in cyber security by the National Cyber Security Index (NCSI), scoring 85.00 points.

The index covers 112 countries and assesses more than 40 indicators, including the legal and institutional framework, protection of critical services and personal data, crisis response and management capacities, and international cooperation.
