The appeal was reviewed in a closed session without the presence of the parties. The ruling was issued by a panel of three judges.

Veliaj, arrested on February 10, is under investigation by SPAK for passive corruption of high-level state officials or elected local officials (allegedly committed 9 times, in collaboration) and money laundering of criminal proceeds.
