Vata/ CSC reviewed on Monday the requests of SMI and DP about the election results in the region of Berat and decided to open the boxes containing election materials. 6 count teams have been set up to open the 24 boxes.

CSC will decide at the end of the review of 24 polling stations requested by the SMI whether it will declare invalidity in this region or not and then will rule whether there will be a re-vote or recount of votes in the region of Berat.

The boxes are reopened to use in evidence the voting minutes, the report of the voters’ electronic identification device, the voters’ register with the signatures.

The CEC administration has completed the review of election materials for 24 ballot boxes in the region of Berat to identify irregularities at the request of the SMI.

The Complaints and Sanctions Commission at the CEC accepted only 1 out of 2 complaints from the SMI and dropped that of DP about the outcome in April 25 elections in the region of Berat.
