In an official announcement, the General Prosecutor’s Office reported that, as of May 9, a total of 54 criminal complaints have been filed concerning election-related offenses.

The sources of the criminal filings mentioned above were as following: the State Police in 27 cases, SPAK in 9 cases, political entities in 7 cases, ex officio in 9 cases, and private citizens in 2 cases.

The criminal filings were registered as follows: 5 in the Fier Prosecutor’s Office, 3 in Saranda, 3 in Durrës, 14 in Tirana, 2 in Gjirokastra, 3 in Kukës, 5 in Lezha, 9 in Dibra, 2 in Vlora, 1 in Korça, 2 in Shkodra, and 5 in Elbasan.

According to the General Prosecutor’s Office, two criminal complaints—one from the Durrës Prosecutor’s Office and one from Lezha—were referred to SPAK for jurisdiction, along with two criminal proceedings from the Fier and Shkodër Prosecutor’s Offices.

Of the registered criminal complaints, 10 have been dismissed with a decision not to initiate proceedings: 5 by the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office, 2 by Kukës, 2 by Dibër Prosecutor’s Office, and 1 by Saranda Prosecutor’s Office.
