The Bank of Albania announces that, during the first four months of 2021, banks disbursed ALL 21.7 billion in loans, recording an increase of 42% compared to the same period last year.

Credit to individuals is being underpinned by a high demand to invest in immovable properties.

While low interest rates and the willingness of banks to finance in this segment encouraged individuals to borrow to invest mainly in housing and new business ventures. /j.p/sm/
