Vata/ The court of Tirana has issued the ruling in favor of the demolition of the building damaged by the earthquake on the “Myslym Keta” street in unit No. 4. Tirana.

Although the Democratic Party submitted a request to reverse the decision on demolition of the building, the court decided to dismiss this claim. The court gave the green light to the Municipality of Tirana to demolish building no. 4, damaged by the earthquake on “Myslym Keta” street, as it was at risk of collapsing, dismissing the claims of DP and Këlliçi.

Earlier, the Construction Institute, which is the institution that conducts the assessment and provides technical expertise for the safety of a building that is considered damaged, and that has assessed all the buildings after the earthquake of November 26, 2019, reconfirmed through a paper dated December 15 2022, that Building No. 4 on “Myslym Keta” street in Tirana, poses a high risk for residents and as such must be demolished.

All the families of the damaged building benefit new apartments in the “5 Maji” neighborhood, and are treated for several months with the rent subsidy until moving into the apartment. /j.p/sm/
