The ratification of this agreement deepens the cooperation between the two countries, building new bridges of knowledge and innovation in the field of higher education and scientific research.

A key pillar of this agreement is support for student mobility, awarding scholarships to ease financial burden on Albanian students in Albania and Kosovo.

In addition, streamlining procedures for mutual recognition of certificates and degrees will enable the freedom of students and professionals to build careers and share knowledge across a wider geographic spectrum.

“For us, as the Ministry of Education, cooperation with Kosovo is of special importance to further promote the exchange of experiences of academic staff, student mobility, as well as support through scholarships students from Kosovo who will come to study in Albania.
It is an agreement in the follow-up of a wide-ranging cooperation between Albania and Kosovo, which extends to all educational levels, from compulsory education to scientific research,” Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu said.

The aim is to foster cooperation in education and science, integrating our institutions within the educational programs of the European Union, the Council of Europe and UNESCO.

The minister emphasized the importance of this agreement as part of the track-record of cooperation between the two countries.
