They are continuing the work despite the low temperatures that have engulfed the country to ensure the normal movement of vehicles and prevent any accidents.

Prime Minister Edi Rama posted a video in the social media showing the work being done for the maintenance of roads in every road axis of the country so that the roads are passable.

“On duty to ease the extraordinary weather load on the country’s roads,” Rama said.

The national road network maintenance contractors, administered by the Albanian Road Authority, are on the ground with increased forces with tools, staff and salt and other materials since last night and during the day without a break.

Also, the Traffic Police services throughout the country are on duty 24 hours a day, in all major road axes, to direct road traffic, in order to prevent any accident, no matter how small, and to come to the aid of any vehicle driver who may have problems.

There was also an appeal from the responsible structures for drivers to move only in cases of need with winter tires or chains when necessary./p.s./
