“During my visit to Albania, I have witnessed an amazing US-Albanian partnership in action, on democracy, defense and business. I have also seen first-hand the hospitality of the Albanian people and the spirit of “besa” as you continue to welcome and protect our Afghan allies. Albania’s generosity is an inspiration for the world. I am in Albania as we near the first anniversary of extending the validity of 10 year visas for Albanian business and tourists in the US. I am pleased that this historical announcement took place during the centennial celebration of diplomatic relations between the US and Albania. Our consular work, including services for US citizens in Albania and the new 10 year visa validity of Albanians is at the heart of the ever-expanding people to people connections between our countries. Over the past three years, our team has worked tirelessly to ensure that Albanian students, tourists, investors and business people can travel to the US. As we celebrate the first anniversary of the 10 year visa validity for Albanians I am proud of the role that our embassy and specifically our consular teams plays in strengthening the connections between our peoples, a connection that will only continue to grow strong,” she said in a video message.
