In his remarks, David Wisner, Chargé d’Affaires of the US Embassy in Tirana, expressed his satisfaction with the work done by the American Chamber of Commerce, while adding that the real work should be done by the countries of the region themselves.
“Enthusiastic about the work the American Chamber of Commerce is doing. As Americans we strongly believe in the power of the private sector. It’s a privilege to gather, encourage and push money, but it’s you who will do the work to see development and advance the EU accession,” he said.
Wisner highlighted the great commitment and work being done with young people.
“The main pillar we are talking about today is about the economic side, and we are very pleased that USAID is supporting this meeting, where there is a mutual consent from all parties in terms of the economic growth of the Balkans,” Wisner pointed out.
He stated that American companies have seen some interesting prospects during developments in recent years and expressed enthusiasm for the work that the American Chamber of Commerce is doing to create this sustainable partnership which is crucial.
