The Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu, welcomed on Tuesday evening the highest representatives of education in Europe as well as from other countries of the world, who will participate in this activity.

“I am honored to welcome in Tirana, the highest education representatives of Europe as well as from other countries of the world, on the eve of the Ministerial Conference of the European Higher Education Area, an important event that is organized for the first time in region,” Manastirliu writes.

This important event brings together top education representatives from the European Higher Education Area (EEA) and other countries from around the world.

The European Higher Education Area includes 49 member countries with voting rights and 9 consultative members, including partners in Europe and other countries of the world.

BFUG (Bologna Follow-Up Group) is the executive body responsible for monitoring and implementing the commitments made by member countries within the Bologna Declaration and other documents related to the Bologna Process/ZEAL.

The Ministry of Education and Sports, through this ministerial, aims to reaffirm the fundamental values of education, including academic freedom, institutional autonomy and quality assurance in higher education.

The two-day conference will discuss issues of innovation, quality and the social dimension in higher education through four main panels and parallel sessions with different topics such as the implementation of the commitments of Bologna Process, encouraging international collaborations, and ensuring the quality of higher education.
