TIRANA, April 18 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama, also the chairman of the Socialist Party, during an electoral meeting for the May 11th elections with residents of Unit 6, Kashar in Tirana, expressed his commitment to giving fresh impetus to the development of Tirana.

Rama said, “It happened that I am part of the team of Tirana’s deputies, though I have never been a deputy of Tirana before. This time I am, and because of this duty, it is a new mission for me. Due to the campaign, I have visited many parts of Tirana that I hadn’t seen before, and I have witnessed extraordinary changes.”

Rama reflected on how Tirana has transformed into a developing city, noting that areas like Astir, which once had small houses, are now integrated. He emphasized that while the city has made great progress, there are still issues to address, and with its current potential, it can become even better for its residents.

He stated that Tirana used to have a central hub, with everything revolving around it, but today, the capital has grown and evolved.

“Today, that old centre is a thing of the past, as the city has expanded and life is now spread across various areas. The city has developed other centers, and it’s time to focus on what’s beginning to take shape and enhance the quality of life in these communities. I’m talking about Kombinati, Kashari, Astiri, which have built a lively energy base and require attention. If we address them properly, the quality of community life will improve greatly, and we are committed to this,” said Rama.
