The main theme of this year’s edition is: “Access to environmental information in the digital age,” emphasizing the importance of informing the public about environmental matters at a time when technology and data play an increasingly pivotal role in decision-making and raising citizen awareness.

Commissioner Dervishi, in his welcoming address at the opening of the conference proceedings, in his capacity as Acting President of the ICIC, emphasized that “the right to information is the oxygen of democracy—it sustains accountability, civic participation, and the building of trust.”
