She is one of our 7 elite athletes who received the rank of “Colonel”, and according to Peleshi, this assessment for athlete Gega is a reflection of her hard work, dedication and excellence in her field.

“The European Champion, with her extraordinary achievements in athletics, has made all of us proud and raised the Albanian flag high. Gratitude to her and her great achievements!”, wrote Peleshi.

In the video published on social networks by Minister Peleshi, Gega said that the evaluation with the rank of Colonel is the greatest in her career.

“I have been part of the Armed Forces since 2014. I have represented the Armed Forces in many activities and I have managed to get medals. The evaluation with the honorary status with the rank of “Colonel” has been a special emotion and I can say that it has been the greatest evaluation for my entire career. This also has to do with a financial support that we definitely need for the sport we do, but this will continue after my career as a sportswoman”, said Gega./gj.m/p.s./
