TIRANA, May 8 /ATA/ Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Frida Krifca, is holding several meetings with farmers and representatives of collection points in the municipality of Lushnja and the municipality of Fier.

During a media briefing, Krifca also spoke about the expectations of the season, production and good agricultural practices in the administrative unit of Allkaj in the village of Zhelizhan in Lushnja, at the farm of Gjergji Lic, one of the model farms in this area, which produces vegetables and fruits for the local and international market.

We must be at the forefront when it comes to quality, without quality we cannot access these markets, so it is very important that models like that of Gjergji are replicated and multiplied. We have increased exports, while agriculture today is not at subsistence level, instead it is an agriculture that targets large markets and competes with countries like Turkey that has been operating in this market for a long time with skilled labor and competitive working methods. ”

“This year records 2.5 times more applications than last year, last year saw 19,300 this year 49,300 applications. We have also progressed 2.5 times more with the issuance of oil cards, Gjergji is such an example who has applied and received the oil and uses it according to his needs ,” said Krifca.

Krifca stressed that “people are working to make sure that the diesel fuel goes to the farmer in these moments when the need is even greater. Apart from the oil that will be provided through an additional budget compared to last year, 1.45 billion ALL, as part of the resilience package 500 million ALL have been disbursed. Meanwhile we will meet all the demands of farmers for oil.”

Krifca announced that “we have set a goal that by June 2 we will disburse the oil we have contracted, faster than that is impossible.”
