TIRANA, September 10/ATA/ The installation of trap cameras in the protected areas aims to monitor the diversity of wildlife in these areas.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today in the social media, images provided from the National Agency for Protected Areas, which he appreciated as a “unique collage of wildlife”.

Rama stated that the camera traps in the protected areas, “Acquaint us everyday and make us more and more familiar with the safe habitats of diverse species”.

The cameras have captured the most special types of wildlife, such as the red fox, the brown bear, the wild cat and others that inhabit the forests and mountains of the country.

Monitoring wildlife through camera traps is a necessary process to document the diversity of these animals in different periods of the year as well as the risk factors.

According to data from environmental teams, the wild animals have increased in numbers thanks to the hunting moratorium. /e.i/p.s./
