“Yesterday’s seizure of 400kg of cocaine is the result of strong cooperation among Albania, Kosovo, Italy and the United States of America. SPAK and Albanian State Police, with DEA in Washington DC played an important role in this strike against international drug traffickers and organized crime,” Kim said.

Seven suspects were arrested and 400 kilograms of cocaine were seized in the town of Lipjan, Kosovo, hidden in a cargo container of meat transported by truck.

The operation was jointly conducted by the Albanian, Kosovo and Italian law enforcement agencies, with Albanian police keeping the Kosovo-bound truck under surveillance for 15 days after its arrival in Durres port.
