TIRANA, Feb 15 /ATA/ – By I. Vata/ Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Frida Krifca, visited on Wednesday the farm run by the Gjondrekaj family in Bushat.

Krifca said that this farm currently has 200 cows, thanks to the support through the IPARD II program. She emphasized that the farm has good animal welfare standards and produces 4,000 liters of milk every day.

“On the farm of the Gjondrekaj family, which manages a dairy farm of high animal welfare standards, also thanks to the support as part of the IPARD II program, today they breed over 200 dairy cows and intend to expand and grow,” emphasized Krifca.

“This closed-loop farm, which produces feed for its animals, makes sure of increasing yields every year, has a fully automated high-tech milking system, enabling good food safety practices and providing accurate and detailed information on animal welfare in real time”, she added.

“The 4,000 liters of milk the farm produces per day are collected and processed daily by one of our processors who supply consumers with high quality milk by-products,” Krifca says.
