TIRANA, August 13/ATA/ This tourist season the Albanian coast offers a cleaner environment for local and foreign visitors.

This has been thanks to the work carried out for months on end for the collection of the refuse and arrangement of landscapes.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared in social media a spot of awareness to appeal to all August holidaymakers to keep the beaches clean.

Rama emphasized that, “No one can taste our amazing coast if it is not clean, especially now at the peak of the season, when we all have to take care that the refuse does not make it ugly by making us ugly to everyone as a people”.

During the summer season, the coastal municipalities such as Himara, Saranda, Durrësi, Kavaja, Vlora, Rrogozhina, etc. are assisted with an additional cleaning operator through the National Coastal Agency.

The National Plan for the thorough cleaning of Albania aims at keeping the urban environment clean, as well as raising awareness among citizens and holidaymakers.

Albania with its beaches and natural beauty and cultural heritage has attracted over 5.1 million visitors in January-July, 31% more than the same period in 2022, which is known as the best year in terms of figures. /k.s/p.s./

Prime Minister Edi Rama posted in the social media today photos of the beach this Sunday, inviting holiday-makers to visit it.

Shengjini is slowly changing his physiognomy. The increase in the number of young people who frequent this beach has also changed the night life there.

The beaches of Kuna, the city center and to continue towards Rana e Hedhun, are a good opportunity, which are being used to the maximum by those who already know and love Shengjin. /p.s./

TIRANA, November 16/ATA/ Present-day Tirana is a much cleaner city due to the green policies that the municipality has pursued.

During the International Conference on Ecological Opportunities for the Financial Sector in Albania, Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj highlighted the decisions that have brought this result.

“When we started working in the municipality of Tirana, the Copernicus satellite, which measures the air quality in all European cities (it is a free service of the EU), from a rating of 1-10, gave Tirana a rating of 2-3 . Today, the rating for air quality in Tirana is 8, while on car-free days it goes 9-10. This rating is not 8 because we speak nicely, but it is because we made the right decisions,” he said.

“The center of Tirana, from a large roundabout, is today the largest square in Southeast Europe. New Bazaar is today another car-free space. Tirana Castle is at present another space turned not only into an economic pole with many businesses, but also cleaner. This means that it is up to us. The way we behave, the way we invest, the way we make decisions, then we get the results I talked about and today Tirana is one of the cleanest cities in the region”, said Veliaj.

He also said that another important decision by the municipality of Tirana has to do with the Free Economic Zone in Kashar./p.s./

TIRANA, September 28/ATA/ “The tourist season is distinguished of cleanliness and that is a reflection of our inexhaustible will to change Albania, insisting year after year on improvement of services, but also on changing the mentality on the common environment”.

Prime Minister Edi Rama made the statement yesterday during a meeting held in Durrës about the balance-sheet of the summer tourist season.

“Today, except for the municipality of Vlora, I say, we had a cleaner season than ever, if you consider how dirty it was, but, also a really clean season starting from Tirana”, emphasized Rama.

The head of the government said that, “All the impressions of foreign visitors in Tirana start with cleanliness. Of course, Tirana has problems with cleaning at certain points, but they start with cleanliness, in a capital that used to be the symbol of a dirty city during 4 years under the democrats”, said Rama.

From November 7, 2021, the National Plan for Radical Cleaning of Albania has started to be implemented throughout the country. Every day in the country’s municipalities, there take place cleaning actions, in order to have a cleaner environment./k.s/p.s./

TIRANA, August 17/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today in the social media the impressions of local and foreign tourists about Himara beach.

“Good morning and with the beautiful and hospitable Himara, where the best thing of this season is the exemplary cleanliness and the public beaches full of holidaymakers, I wish you a good day,” wrote Rama in a post on social networks.

“This time is more beautiful, the roads are cleaner than before”, said a local tourist.

While an Italian tourist said that, “It seems very calm and beautiful to me.” The sea is very good, it’s the first time I come. I have traveled a very long way to come, almost 1800 km. We will stay three days, but we shall come back. I also liked the north where I stayed. It is very beautiful”.

“The people are satisfied. The beach line is very nicely organized”, said another holidaymaker.

“This year there is very good organization, clean sea and environment, with good services”, underlined another local holidaymaker.

“It’s very good, it’s very beautiful, it’s very clean, it’s very pleasant”, said another tourist who chose Himara to spend his holidays this year.

While another holidaymaker said that, “We should choose our country for the tradition, for the history, for the beautiful sea, the mountain, the beautiful places to see and all the culture that it has in itself”.

“Very good, we come here every year so pretty good,” said another holidaymaker.

“The beach is very wonderful, the food is normal. We feel very good”, emphasized another holidaymaker.

While an Albanian who lives in Italy said that, “I came here yesterday, I come from Italy where I have lived for 25 years, but here in the south of Albania it is a miracle”.

“Before, I know what it was like, but at the moment I see that it is pretty clean. It looks very nice, well organized, especially this Lungomare is very well organized”, said another tourist.

“It keeps getting better and better. We are very well and it is very beautiful. The food is great and the prices are very reasonable. We are very well”, said another tourist.

“Vlora River Road helped tourism while whoever crosses the Vlora River arrives faster in Qeparo”, said a restaurant owner in Himara./p.s./

TIRANA, August 11/ATA/ Albanian and foreign tourists highly appreciate Durrës as a tourist destination, clean, with very good service, reasonable prices and safety.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today a video with the opinions of some of the local and foreign tourists who are spending their holidays in Durrës.

” Durrës through the eyes and words of Albanian and foreign tourists, who unanimously appreciate the cleanliness of this season, the result of a daily work started since last September, under the direction of the Minister of Tourism and Environment; they also have good words about hotel services, reasonable prices and safety”, Rama emphasized in a post on social networks.

“From Italy, Denmark and other nationalities, many of the tourists believe in Durrës as the place to have a good time for their holidays, underlining the improvements they see every year and more”, emphasized Rama.

“We come every year and enjoy ourselves. We find everything, the sea, the pool, traditional Albanian food, of course for me because I grew up in Albania. I have been living abroad for 27 years, I live in Sweden. It’s not just about the Albanian music played at dinner, but also the food, the sea so close, the cleanliness and above all the courtesy”, said a tourist.

“I have been living in the Diaspora for 30 years. I enjoy coming to Albania, the hotel is extremely beautiful, clean, very high security. I will come here every year. I have been to many countries in Europe. I often go to Italy, but Durrës is a very beautiful place. Albania in general has a crystal sea, very clean water, prices are very low. Even if they are higher, it is worth coming here”, said a tourist from the Diaspora.

“I say, it is more expensive in Pristina than in Durrës”, said another tourist.

“It’s been 3 years since we came to Albania and we feel very good. The hotel is beautiful and we like it. We feel calmer than in our country, it is safer here, because I see that there are no thefts even on the streets”, said an Italian tourist.

“The cleanest beach this year, very good, very pleasant”, said another tourist.

“Discovering different cultures is an advantage for us. We have been here for many years, but even today I am still happy because it is a very beautiful place. I wish you much happiness and as much tourism as possible because you deserve it. You have a lot of desire to work, desire to do things and it is true that every year we see transformations for the better”, said another Italian tourist.

“I come from Italy and I am very pleased with the holidays I spend here in Durrës. Every year I come here for my holidays. I come with pleasure. I would like to stay longer, but I don’t have time”, said a tourist.

While another tourist said, “Durrës is the most beautiful city that exists, not only in Albania, but also in the world”.

“I am from Denmark. I think it’s good. It’s a small place, but not overcrowded and that’s great. It is quite clean. Even here where we are now, I don’t see any garbage”, said a tourist from Denmark./j.p/p.s./

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today in the social media moments from the cleaning action in Klos, Tepelena, Skrapar, Kukës, Roskovec, Memaliaj, Kruja, Këlcyrë, Maliq and Delvinë.

“Thank you to all those who get engaged in the National Cleaning Plan every day,” said Rama.

According to him, “Patriotism begins with protection of the country’s environment, considering the land of the country the same like the floor of the house that you inherited from those who inhabited it before you and you should leave it clean to those who will come after you”. /m.m/j.p/p.s./
